WALK AND RESPOND TO BELL
PRESENTATION Invite the child to walk around the classroom and stop as soon as the bell rings: stop, look at the person who rings the bell and listen. When the person is finished speaking she/he will say Thank you.
Point of Consciousness Arrived At Through Experience:
· When the child hears the bell they will realize that it is time for them to stop and look in the direction of the sound, and make eye contact with the teacher.
Variations on the exercise:
Instead of a bell you can use:
- A triangle
- A small drum
- A hand clap- lap slap rhythm
